This means the HPmulticats' installer was not able to download the patched files (so they are not readable since they don't exist).

At step #1 in the installation wizard, just after having uplaod HPmulticats, please check the administrator/components/com_hpmulticats/patch/ folder is writable for apache user.

In doubt you can try :

chmod 777 administrator/components/com_hpmulticats/patch/

and resume the installation wizard.
